#OurHealthyMinds: celebrating loved ones during the holiday season

The holiday season is a time to celebrate with family and friends, and remember those who are gone: our grandmothers, grandfathers, parents, partners, and other loved ones.

We at Healthy Minds Initiative wanted everyone to feel a little less alone in missing those who are no longer with us, starting with our own stories.

The HMI team shared some images of our cherished relatives — some gone, and some currently experiencing a brain disease.

We’ve done so under the hashtag #OurHealthyMinds, and invite you to share pictures, videos, or anecdotes in the same way.

This is our ‘why’; the reason we do what we do at Healthy Minds Initiative. All our research, outreach, and community projects — every one of us has someone in mind when we’re doing HMI work.

We can’t wait to continue our mission in the new year, and greatly anticipate the progress 2023 brings. If you’d like to join us on our journey, follow along on Instagram.

And if you’re able and willing, please do consider donating to our cause, and, if you’re interested in helping Healthy Minds Initiative grow in a more hands-on manner, contact us via our volunteer sign-up page.
