Support Healthy Minds Initiative’s Casey Borowski Fund

‘Casey’ Jan Borowski Jr., born February 28, 1947, in Albany, New York, transitioned to eternal peace on August 9, 2023, in The Woodlands, Texas, embraced by his loving family.

Raised in Ravena, New York, Casey exemplified an unparalleled work ethic from a young age, fostering a profound love for nature.

His journey led him to the University of South Carolina on an ROTC scholarship, where he met his beloved wife.

A dedicated naval officer from 1970 to 1975, Casey earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1977 before embarking on a distinguished career as a chemical engineer and business executive.

Settling in The Woodlands in 1991, Casey’s zest for life was palpable in his love for outdoor pursuits, cherished moments with family, and relentless commitment to excellence.

Despite his numerous accolades, Casey remained humble, embodying integrity and service throughout his life, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.

Why we need your support

From a life filled with remarkable achievements to one overshadowed by dementia, Casey’s journey is one that’s become all-too familiar to so many of us, shaped by the erosion of cognition and identity.

Despite the indelible marks our loved ones leave on our worlds, dementia indiscriminately robs them of much of what makes them who they are.

Your donations to Healthy Minds Initiative will help us continue to work with communities impacted by this devastating disease, through lifestyle interventions, accessible education, and improved healthcare equity.
